There were further good track performances from Chiltern
Harriers youngsters at the first Watford Wednesday evening open on
April 4th.
In the 100m Nick Brabbs and John Underwood recorded good benchmark
times for the season of 12.17 and 12.67 respectively. Nick later ran
25.00 in the 200m. Georgina Barnett made her 400m debut with 76.00.
In the 1500m there were several Chiltern runners running their first
race of the season.
There were personal bests for newcomer Jonty Wager-Leigh with 4.49.41,
Amy Fawcett with 5.22.55, Dominic Evans with 5.45.44, and Abi
Jones with 5.48.11. Also logging good times for the start of the season
were Richard Slade (5.27.93), Orla Fawcett (5.30.24), Emma Barraclough
(5.32.23), and Claire Baxter (5.35.31).
