The second Primary Schools match of the winter took place at
Chartridge School on Saturday with several Under 11 Chiltern Harriers
taking part for their schools.
The tough, hilly course was
dryer than usual and conditions were foggy and mild. Years 3 and 4 ran
0.9 mile and Years 5 and 6 ran 1.1 mile.
Chiltern athletes
were well represented in the Year 6 boys race with a win for Tommy
Taylor (Chalfont St Peter). Also well up were Callum Hodson 2nd (CSP),
Ben Smith 4th (The Beacon), Ethan Kidd 5th (Chartridge), Redford Denson
7th (The Gateway), and Ollie Powell 8th (Little Kingshill).
The Year 6 girls saw Chesham Prep duo Amber Hitchcock and Olivia Houlihan-Burne take second and third places.
For
the Year 5 boys Cameron Reid (Chartridge) was a comfortable winner and
also featuring in the top 15 were Tom Hall and Edward Watson (Elangeni)
and Phoenix and Kristian Everiss (Great Missenden) with Chalfont’s Alex
Boyd also well up. Ellen Hodson took third place for Chalfont St Peter
in the Year 5 girls race with Amelia Weir 7th for Godstowe and Ellie
Perkin 11th for Elangeni.
Tom Hunter continued his good season with a win for Chalfont St Peter in the Year 4 boys race.
