It has been a successful summer for Chiltern’s Barbara Ralph on the
roads. In August Barbara was second Vet 55 at the Bearbrook 10K in
46.23 and followed that with first Vet 55 at the Burnham Beeches Half
Marathon later in the month.
Also scoring age group wins in
the summer were Derek Brown, first Vet 50 at Bearbrook (4th overall) in
34.59 and Brenda King, first Vet 65 at Burnham in 1.55.34. With their
wins at Burnham, Barbara and Brenda also won the Southern Veterans
titles.
Making up the men’s team that finished third at
Bearbrook were Adam Bowller, 31st in 38.26, Nathan Taylor 57th in
40.38, and Michael Turney, 75th in 41.38.
Also running at
Burnham was James Repper, 35th in 1.25.15, Mark Smith 194th in 1.40.43,
and Sarah Caulfield 7th Vet 45 in 1.50.23.
