A handful of Chiltern young athletes got their track campaigns under way at Bracknell on Saturday.
First year Under 17 Hannah Wardley made her debut at 300m with an encouraging time of 46.73. She then ran close to a PB in the 800m of 2.36.38 and had a slightly disappointing long jump of 3.66m.
Under 13s Claire Buttivant and Josh Hughes both ran 150m and 600m, Claire achieving 22.88 and 1.59.43 and Josh 22.64 and 1.58.80. Claire also ran 12.40 in the 80m to reach the final.
First year Under 13 Angus Denison-Smith ran in the 1000m, finishing second in his heat and fifth overall in 3.22.97.
Sarah Cross ran a new 200m PB of 29.69 and ran 14.01 in the 100m for Under 15 girls. Under 17s Brandon and Dominic Janson also ran in the 100m and 200m. Brandon achieved 12.91 and 25.76 and older brother Dominic ran12.33 and 24.92. .
Sandie Pohlman tackled the 60m and 150m in the Under 11 age group. She was 6th in the 60m final and ran 9.85 and also reached the 150m final with 24.85.
