A smaller than usual contingent from Chiltern Harriers took part in the Bearbrook 10k, based at Aylesbury rugby club early this month.
From 510 finishers, Eddie O'Gorman had another good run to be third in 33.33 and Tom Beedell was tenth in 35.22. Leyton Cheyne was 91st in 43.00. Reg Gilbert finished in 363rd in 55.05 and Frank Harris 364th in 55.23.
Sarah Quantrill had a very good run to be 48th overall and sixth female in a very high quality women's race. She ran 39.56, a great performance less than a year after having her first child. Debbie Wenman also had a good run to be 65th overall, and tenth female in 41.21. Brenda King was 379th in 56.35.
Eddie O'Gorman maintained his preparation for the Berlin marathon with a steady run at Burnham, coming home sixth in 1.15.14.
There was a field of 906 in warm conditions and the race acted as the Southern Counties Veterans championships and British Masters championships.
