We did it..
Jeremy and I completed the Dorney Lake (Olympic) Triathlon - it was a great event, and a hard slog on a hot day.
We were hit by rail transport delays so we arrived very late for the start of the event and by the time we had our bikes and transition kit ready we were too late for the pre-race briefing. Jeremy got the laps wrong on the ride and cycled 50km instead of 40km! - i think he just wanted to make it a little tougher than it already was!
We both really enjoyed the atmosphere there and its a great location to race, and the bar was open so we managed a beer straight afterwards...
We are very lucky to have so many generous family and friends, we have now managed to raise nearly £900 for the Warchild Charity on the justgiving site so once again many thanks to all those generous donations for a very worthy cause.
