Chiltern Harriers' Eddie O'Gorman was the individual winner, and Grace Birch the women's winner in the annual Coombe Hill Run at Wendover on Sunday.
In a field of 270 runners, Eddie completed the exceptionally hilly 6k cross country race in a fast 21.46, winning by a good margin of over 20 seconds. Grace was 61st overall in a time of 28.34, over a minute ahead of her nearest rival.
The men's team race was a very close fought affair with Chiltern in second spot on 47 points behind winners, host club, Vale of Aylesbury on 37. Hillingdon AC ended up with 50 points and Tring Running Club also had a strong team out on 51 points - all four clubs packing their scoring runners in the top 21 finishers.
The Chiltern foursome were Eddie O'Gorman, Justin Fowler, 8th in 23.48, Jon Taylor 18th in 25.04, and Steve Perkin 20th in 25.19.
