Chiltern Harriers dominated this popular local 10K road race, with the winning men's team, winning women's team and the individual winner in both men's and women's races.
Continuing his impressive form on the roads was Fabian Downs, who came through the line first in 33.24, a minute ahead of Chiltern teammate Eddie O'Gorman in 34.44. Unattached runner Rob Taylor was third in 36.56. There was a total of 236 finishers.
In the women's race Chiltern's Grace Birch was the winner in 42.41 (14th overall), with fellow Chiltern runner Jenny Coxon close behind in 42.49. Third place went to yet another Chiltern runner, Sandra Levet in 43.41.
There were also several age group prizes amongst club runners. Michael Turney was first Vet 40 in 39.22, Steve Field won the Vet 50 race in 44.00, and Tony Molesworth won the Vet 60 category in 49.05. Amongst the women, Sandra Levet was first Vet 40, Barbara Ralph first Vet 50 in 44.50. First Vet 60 was Margaret Moody of Vets AC in 46.03.
In the juniors Charlie Quigley was first male in 46.29 and Becky Robertson first female in 54.37.
