Chiltern Harriers seniors and veterans have been out on the roads recently on a busy Sunday morning.
At the well supported Marlow 5 mile race, Tom Beedell won the fast race round Marlow town centre in a fast time of 26.03, at the head of a race of 1657 finishers. In second place was Fabian Downs in 26.15. The winning team was completed by Eddie O'Gorman in seventh in 27.07 and Kingsley Nanton, eleventh in 27.37. Ali Young was the first Chiltern woman home, in 96th place in 32.15 and Barbara Ralph was first Vet 50 in 34.38. Also running were Garry Page (35.45), Jon Beedle (35.58), Scott Clarke (39.10), Helen Cave (54.05), Howard Cave (54.05), and Steve Chambers (67.27).
Also on Sunday Sian Thomas equalled her 10K PB with a good run at Dorney lake in the Dorney Dash, coming home in 39.54 and finishing 30th from 532 finishers. The final event involving Chiltern runners was the St Albans 10K where Grace Birch had a solid run to finish in 42.41, sixth woman and fourth senior woman.
