Brighton Marathon

Sunday 18th April 2010

Ali first V35 at Brighton Marathon Three Chiltern Harriers took part in the first ever Brighton Marathon on Sunday 18th April. Although the sunshine made the race tough, it meant that spectators lined the streets providing a fantastic atmosphere. The course provided a great view running along the coastline.

The first half was undulating but the second half was pancake flat providing an ideal opportunity for a fast race. All in all a good event which would recommend to others as an alternative to London.

Ali Young came 1st Vet35, 11th lady and 262nd in field of 7419 runners with a time of 3.18.34. Annelie Whitfield did a time of 4.17.08 coming 2874th and David Mockett came in 5012th with 4.54.55.
