Whilst the young athletes get to grips with the track and field season, senior athletes have been hitting the roads, many with London, or another spring marathon in mind.
Sunday 28th saw two twenty mile races, the Oakley 20 near Bedford featuring a good run by Nathan Taylor. From a field of 793, Nathan finished in an impressive 96th place in 2.26.36.
Meanwhile in Ruislip, Sandra Reynolds was fastest female Vet 35 at the Finchley 20, finishing in 2.25.29, ninth woman and 93rd overall from a field of 482.
Also on Sunday, the high-calibre Eastleigh 10k near Southampton saw Matt Bennett come a superb 26th in a very fast time of 32.10.
