Seventeen of Chiltern Harriers younger athletes took part in the latest indoor athletics competition at UKAthletics high performance centre at Lee Valley.

This impressive arena provided the backdrop for some very encouraging performances and the children went away full of enthusiasm for the sport.

The age groups were Year 3, Year 4-5, and Year 6-7, tackling a variety of indoor disciplines.

Year 7
Rebecca Yeabsley showed her continuing maturity as a sprinter clocking 8.70 for 60m, 10.7 for 60m Hurdles and a new PB of 29.9 for 200m. Robyn Lisle jumped a new PB of 3.75m in the long jump, and ran 9.60 for 60m and 32.20 for 200m. Amy Fawcett ran a 10.5 60m and a 13.3 60m Hurdles.
