A small band of Chiltern Harriers went to Maidenhead and, in appalling conditions, took part in the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Championships.
Torrential rain combined with very strong winds to make running difficult on a gently undulating and soft course at Braywick Park.
Julius Fawcett was the sole senior man coming home in 46th place.
In the younger age groups, Ellie Jones led home the Under 15 girls in eighth place in 14.32 on the 3.5K course with Hannah Wardley 23rd in 15.45 and Mackenzie Curran 33rd in 20.10. In the Under 13 girls 3K race, Emma Barraclough was the leading Chiltern runner in seventh spot in 12.02. Claire Buttivant was 19th in 12.45 and Claudia Jones 34th in 13.45. Caitlin Curran was 42nd in 15.43. Hannah Thear had her first taste of an Under 13 race and finished in 12.40 as a non-scorer.
Tom Birchenough was the only Under 13 boy and finished the 3.5K circuit in 15th place in 15.03.
