Six young Chiltern Harriers took part in the latest Milton Keynes Open on Sunday and all came away with PBs.
The sole Under 13 present was Hannah Morton who ran a good 600m in 1.59.5 and jumped an excellent 1.30m in the high jump, both personal bests.
The Under 11s all had good afternoons. Will Perkin ran in the Under 13s 600m and finished an excellent second in a new record of 1.49.7. The Under 11 girls also ran well. Rachel Padwick and newcomer Hannah Thear had a good battle in the 600m with Rachel taking the honours in a new best of 2.02.6. In her first track meeting Hannah ran 2.03.3 to be second. In third was Sandie Pohlman who ran 2.08.8 with Sophie Morton close behind in 2.10.2 - both exceptional runs from these young girls.
The athletes also put in good runs in the sprints and got further useful track experience from the meeting.
