Chiltern Harriers' strongest team of the season stormed to a big victory in the third match of the National Young Athletes League at Woking on Sunday.

With a score of 514.5, the club was well ahead of second placed Thames Valley Harriers with 449.5 and Woking AC in third with 388.5.

A total of 22 boys and 23 girls combined to put Chiltern in a great position with one match left in the season. Chiltern are on 17 match points with Camberley and District on 13 and TVH on 12.

Under 17 men
The day was soured when star sprinter Joel Williams pulled up in the 100m with a hamstring problem. The day before Joel had become South East Schools 100m champion in a new PB of 11.00 seconds, so hopefully he can recover soon to complete a great season. Rob Smith won an 800m/1500m 'A string' double, Barney Banks won the 'B string' 800m, and Joe Stevens won the 'B string' triple jump. Ben Hall won valuable points in 1500m, 3000m and shot.

Under 15 boys
'A string' victories came from Jack Dutton with a stunning Grade 2 400m of 55.50, and Alex Johnson in the 1500m. There were 'B string' wins for George Gillingwater in the 400m, Ben Whitney in the 800m and Jack Walker in the 1500m. Other points came from Tom Brady, Alex Russell, John Underwood, Nick Brabbs, and Max Poplawski. The quartet of Jack Dutton, Nick Brabbs, Jack Walker and Ben Whitney won the 4 x 400m relay.

Under 13 boys
James McCarthy ran a Grade 1 800m of 2.23.6 to win the 'A string' race. There were other 'A string ' wins for Robert Hughes in the 75m hurdles and shot, Joe Cochrane in the 1500m, and Callum Reid-Jones in the high jump. 'B string' victories came from Andrew Stenning in the 1500m and Callum Reid-Jones in the 75m hurdles. Sam Butcher and Joe Aherne won the remaining points in this age group.

Under 17 women
Sophie East won a sprint 'A string' double in the 100m and 200m. Isabelle Assirati won the 'B string' 100m, Jess White the 'B string ' 300m , and Maria Nikodemova was second in the 'A string ' 300m. The four combined to win an exciting 4 x 100m relay.

Under 15 girls
A very strong squad gained 107 points in this age group but had just one 'A string' winner in Hannah Barnetson in the javelin. 'B string' wins came from Amy Harris in the 800m and high jump, Chloe Allen in the 1500m and shot, and Katie Royals in the discus and javelin. Georgie MacDonald, Alicia Evans, Phoebe Cutter, Jessica Franks, Jemma Wenman and Beth Hitchcock all scored highly with many second places, and the foursome of Alicia Evans, Jess Franks, Chloe Allen and Georgie MacDonald won the 4 x 100m relay.

Under 13 girls
Connie Lewis ran an 800m Grade 1 PB of 2.29.6 to record a win in the 'A string' race. Rosalind Firth was the 'A string' winner in the 1200m with a Grade 3 time and there were 'B string ' wins for Evie Gardner in the 800m and Claudia McInerney in the 1200m. Sarah Cross, Rebecca Yeabsley, Gabby Watts, Robyn Lisle and Hannah Shepard all helped the club to win this age group.
