Chiltern Harriers men picked up the team prize at the popular Marlow 5 mile road race.
On a warm morning the flat but twisty course attracted a large field of 1524 finishers. Kingsley Nanton was first Harrier home in eighth place in 28.29, closely followed by Eddie O'Gorman in ninth in 28.53. Mark Fallowfield-Smith was the third member of the team, coming home in 25th place in 29.57.
The next three Harriers, Garry Page in 115th (34.31), Ade McCormack in 121st (34.36), and Jon Beedle in 198th (35.59) finished as 14th team, a good effort from 40 complete teams.
The Chiltern ladies had a good result at Chinnor with Debbie Wenman winning the ladies Half Marathon title in 1.35.51. Fellow Harrier Kate Loach was third in 1.43.59 and Brenda King was fifth Vet 55 in the 10k race in 60.05.
