Chiltern's Eddie O'Gorman continued his successful winter with second place at the Berkhamsted half on Sunday.
From a field of 1191, he finished in a very good time of 1.13.45 behind winner Andrew Cracknell of Dacorum and Tring.
The Chiltern team came third behind Gade Valley Harriers and St Albans Striders, the other scorers being Ian Lawson, 41st in 1.25.34, Michael Turney, 52nd in 1.26.23, and John Taylor, 97th in 1.29.29.
Debbie Wenman was first Chiltern lady home in 124th in 1.32.04 and Kate Loach lodged a PB of 1.40.06 in 264th.
In the accompanying Five Mile Fun Run, Laura Butt was first lady home in 32.46 and first counter in a mixed Chiltern team that finished in second place behind Watford Harriers.
