Several younger club members were involved in the last primary schools event of the season at Hawridge Cricket Club.
In the Year 3 races Tom Dore picked up a good second place. Emma Buttivant also ran well to be in the top ten in the girls event.
In the Year 4 boys race, Angus Dennison-Smith was strong up the hill to hold off Seb Mills in second and Peter Hughes third and in the girls race Nadine Eliason had another victory from Orla Fawcett. Also in the top ten were Lizzie Barraclough, Georgie Cooper, Madeleine Lacey and Rhiannon Ward.
Will Perkin won the Year 5 boys race with David Willcox a strong second. Josh Hughes was third with Johnny Stenning and Robert Hall also featuring well up the field. Claire Buttivant remains unbeaten in these races, winning again by a good margin. This time Jessica Empson, Harriet Church and Rachel Padwick also featured in the top five.
Bill Hughes won the Year 6 boys race in convincing fashion. Robert Small was second. In the Year 6 girls race, Robyn Lisle was the winner for the second time this winter and Evie Gardner was close behind in second. Katie Pawlyn was fourth and Kathryn Baker sixth.
