Several Under 11 and Under 9 Chiltern Harriers competed for their schools on Saturday in the third of the 4-race winter series. This was held at Lowndes park, Chesham which proved an excellent venue.
In Year 6 Claudia Jones won the girls race and Bill Hughes won the boys event.
David Willcox was the runaway winner of the Year 5 boys event with Robert Hall having a great run to be third. Also featuring in the top ten were Josh Hughes and Andrew Stenning For the Year 5 girls Claire Buttivant won as usual and Jessica Empson and Rachel Padwick came fourth and fifth respectively.
There was a Chiltern 1-2-3 in the Year 4 girls race consisting of Nadine Eliason, Orla Fawcett and Lizzie Barraclough. Rhiannon Ward also featured well up the field. Seb Mills ran a good race to come third in the Year 4 boys event.
In Year 3 the two Thomases again had a great battle with Tom Dore just holding off Tommy Taylor this time.
The last event of the series is on February 28th at Hawridge Cricket Club.
