Excellent performances at the highest level of multi-sports came from two junior members recently.
Dan Barraclough had a late call-up to represent the South East in the 13-14 age group at the Inter Regional Championships at Aldershot Garrison on 30th August and came an excellent fourth, despite being a first year in the age group. Dan was sixth out of the swim and picked up places on great bike leg before coming home with a solid run. The South East were the winning region in the overall competition for all the age groups.
On the same day at Solihull, thirteen-year-old Phoebe Cutter came third at the British Youth Modern Pentathlon Championships in the Youth C category with solid performances across the shooting, fencing, swimming, show-jumping and running elements. Phoebe's last event was the run and a 3 min 35 1000 metres saw her fifth in that discipline.
