Chiltern Harriers ladies continued their excellent year with another team victory on Sunday - this time on the country lanes around Burnham for the Burnham Beeches Half Marathon.
The men's team also put on a good performance but had to be content with third place this time.
Unexpectedly warm temperatures made for good conditions as 932 finishers completed the course.
For the Chiltern ladies, team counters were Debbie Wenman (153rd overall and 16th lady), Sandra Reynolds (171st and 18th) and Barbara Ralph (225th and 26th). With 60 points, they were well ahead of second placed Serpentine RC on 115 points with Wimbledon Windmilers in third on 121. There were sixteen complete teams.
For the men, Chiltern finished in third place with 187 points from the nineteen complete teams with the four counters being Phil Sanger in 7th, Eddie O'Gorman 15th, John Taylor 72nd and Michael Turney 93rd. Winning team were Reading Road Runners on 152 points with London Heathside in second position on 173.
