A variety of Chiltern Harriers young athletes took part in the latest Watford evening open meeting.
Most took advantage of the 800 metre races on offer. With the higher numbered races featuring the faster athletes, senior man Matt Bennett came home in 2.01.55 in Race 11 of 13, with Alex Shelley running a season's best 2.02.73 in Race 10. Alan Stewart came very close to a PB winning Race 9 in 2.04.94.
Earlier three Under 13 boys had achieved PBs competing in Races 1 and 2: Andrew Stenning in 2.34.04, Toby Jones in 2.42.46 and Josh Simpson in 2.48.51.
Sam Rogers, Clarice Underwood and Fabian Downs all competed in the shorter distances, Sam running a 400m in 53.11, Clarice a 200m in 26.92 and Fabian logging times of 51.60 for the 400m and 24.25 for the 200m.
