
Chiltern Harriers had 6 athletes representing Buckinghamshire at this top class cross-country meeting held at the traditionally tough venue in North London in awful weather conditions.
The U13 Boys produced an outstanding team performance for the county on the day taking the team bronze medal position just behind very good teams from Sussex and Surrey. The Harriers youngsters, who are doing so well in the Chiltern League, all produced good runs with Michael Goddard (13th), Daniel Barraclough (15th) and Jack Dutton (19th) out of 74 finishers. Sam Redding (12th) from Milton Keynes was the other scorer and led the team home.
In the U15 Boys race Alex Watson (30th out of 72) was the leading Bucks runner on the wet and muddy course.
Matthew Bennett (18th out of 58) was the leading county runner in the U20 Men's 10k race which was run in conjunction with the London Championships Senior Men's race. Laura Butt was 2nd county finisher when placing 34th in the Senior Women's race.
