Chiltern Harriers' Michael Turney was an excellent 4th and first Vet 40 in Watford Joggers annual five mile race through Cassiobury Park in a time of 33.24. There were 175 finishers and ninth overall and 2nd lady was Laura Butt. Also placing well were David Holmes, 15th in 36.17 and Isabelle Winter, 35th overall and 5th lady in 38.41. Brenda King was 113th overall and 4th Vet 55 in 48.13.
Meanwhile Adrian Dale and Kate Loach featured in the inaugural Grand Union Canal Half Marathon from Cowley in Middlesex up to Cassiobury in Watford. Adrian finished 33rd overall and 9th Vet 40 in 1.34.03 And Kate was 73rd overall and 2nd Vet 40 from the 285 finishers.
