Chiltern Harriers had another successful morning at the Marlow Half Marathon on Sunday, winning the men's team race and placing a very good 4th in the ladies event.
Conditions were excellent with bright sunshine warming up a chilly morning for this undulating course through the lanes around Marlow.
Chiltern's men were led home by in-form Kingsley Nanton, 5th in 1 hour 17 minutes, 22 seconds. The remaining three counters all had good runs - Richard Quantrill 14th in 1:24:24, Neil Thubron 28th, and 6th Vet 40, in 1:26:58, and Michael Turney 36th, and 9th Vet 40, in 1:28:12.
Gary Walford was 66th and 19th Vet 40 in 1:31:58 and John Ralph 143rd, and 16th Vet 50 in 1:38:31.
In the ladies race the Chiltern team was Sarah Quantrill 9th in 1:32:07, Barbara Ralph 12th in 1:35:05, Kate Loach 23rd in 1:40:45, and Brenda King 158th in 2:03:52. Barbara picked up the only age group win for the club, victorious in the Vet 50 category.
