Thame 10K

Chiltern Harriers had two age category winners in the Thame 10K road race on Sunday - Matt Bennett winning the Junior men's event and Tony Molesworth the 'Ultravet' category for competitors over 60.

A cool, drizzly morning did not deter over 800 starters from lining up to tackle the fast course which takes in Thame high street before venturing onto the flat, straight Phoenix Trail for the central section.

Matt was the first Chiltern Harrier home in overall 5th place in 34.23, closely followed by Derek Brown in 34.37 in 9th place and Kingsley Nanton 15th in 35.34. Derek was fourth in the Veteran men's category and Kingsley ninth senior man.

Tony came home in overall 317th place in 48.29, ahead of all the other Ultravet competitors.

The only Chiltern lady involved in the event was Laura Butt, finishing in seventh place in a strong 40.16.
