The courses are of varying length to meet the needs of those recovering from the London Marathon as well as those who are training for future events in the summer - all are probably easier than interval hill training on the Pednor loop which our coach has treated us to on occasions after previous London Marathons!
All courses will initially loop round fields at Botley and Lye Green before joining Green and Bottom Lanes. At Codmore Wood the short course turns back to the finish, whilst the longer courses descend into the Chess Valley to Latimer and either back along Flaunden Bottom or else out to Chenies before turning for home. All cover superb Chiltern scenery so let's hope the sun stays out! Scroll down to see further information about the course and the threat to these lanes.

Course instructionsLeave promptly at 7.30pm and please run in groups.Take the narrow footpath just after the Primitive Chapel. Take the footpath to the right just after the second stile and keep bearing right along the edge of the wood. Take care crossing the busy Botley Road, Lye Green Road which you will need to run along for a couple of hundred metres before turning left to run back South to cross Botley Road again at the two mile mark. You will then run down Green and Bottom Lane (see BOAT's below) At Codmore Wood the short course turns sharp left just before the end of the wood. On the longer course take care crossing the busy Latimer and Flaunden Bottom Roads. After the runs post marathon analysis can be conducted in one of the local pubs - the Old Swan is very welcoming and serves a good range of beers. BOATS (Bypaths open to all traffic)Enjoy the tranquillity of Green and Bottom Lanes whilst you can. These have been designated BOATS. Please read the attached article taken from this week's issue of Chiltern Voice (www.chilternvoice.co.uk), support the action to stop this happening to our lanes by attending the meeting at 7pm on Wednesday 25th April at the Chesham Town Hall and sending in letters of objection. Trapps, Bottom and Bunns lanes The fight for our footpaths has started. Many people are concerned about Trapps Lane, Bottom Lane and Bunn's Lane being designated as BOATs (Bypaths Open to All Traffic). DEFRA overturned Bucks County Council's decision not to open them to motorized vehicles, and objections can only be made on the evidence considered by the inspector i.e. old documents. On Wednesday 25 April at 7pm a public meeting has been called in the Council Chamber where you can find out what to write in your letter of objection and who to write to. If you are on the Action for the Bridleways of Chesham (ABC) emailing list you will be sent a draft letter of objection with a list of permissible issues which you can modify. There is a narrow window for these letters so don't miss it and don't write on matters outside the remit of the inspector, or your letter will be inadmissible. If you've changed your email since registering last December let them know at cheshamboats@btinternet.com.
