Chesham ladies have had a good week, winning three inter-club competitions.
In the Burnham Plate Coral Sills, Dot Burgin, Molly Young and Shirley Gardiner beat a four from Amersham 20 shots to 10
In the Vi Trundell trophy the home rink of Jean Bick, Sue Faulks, Pat Rodgers and Avril Harland, and the away rink of Fay Green, Brenda Thomas, Lin Wright and Sue Springell both triumphed over Loudwater B.C. winning by 7 shots overall.
In the National Top Club competition played against a strong team from Princes Risborough. Daphne Halsey got the Chesham team off to a good start winning the singles 21 shots to 20. The pairs team Fay Green and Sue Springell won 18-15, the triples of Sue Faulks, Pat Rodgers and Avril Harland won 27-16 and the fours, Terri Keen, Fay Holmes, Lin Wright and Brenda Thomas, made it a clean sweep winning 22-16.
In the Bowls England mens triples David Coles, Michael Birch and Mick Skerry won 25-7 against an Amersham triple and are through to the county quarter final. In the Over-55s National Pairs Chesham duo David Staples and Alan Cohn beat an Aylesbury pair 26-17 shots.
The club mixed friendly against Hemel Hempstead resulted in a win 116-111 shots, top winning rink Babs Williams, Andy Roker, Pam Hooper and Keith Hewitt.
