Chesham achieved a good win in the Chiltern & Thames Mixed League against 3 triples from Marlow. Howard Cave, Geoff Denham and Shirley Gardiner won 21-13 shots, Eileen Perry, Ray Keen and Roger Elliston won 24-11 and Chris Smethurst, Diet Townend and Bill Faulkner won 17-14. The maximum 10 points were awarded to Chesham.
A men's team travelled to Herts B.C. in Watford to play the first leg of the Tosh Clarke Cup and achieved a win of 18 shots, the score being 125 to 107. There were two top rinks. They were George Perry, Malcolm Warwick, David Staples and David Sills, and Alan Cohn, Derek Keily, Roger Lofty and Michael Birch.
A mixed game away to Flackwell Heath resulted in a loss for Chesham but we had a top rink of Babs Williams, John Henderson, Molly Young and Mike Bailey.
