A mixed team travelled to Gerrards Cross on Thursday for a triples friendly match. The hosts won 105 shots to 79 shots, but we had a winning triple of David Hobbs, Brenda Waterman and Pam Hooper who scored 22 shots to 10.
On Sunday a men's team went to Marlow to play the first leg of the Chesham Challenge Cup played in difficult windy conditions. We lost by 18 shots but hope to pick these up on the second, home, leg. Two rinks tied for top honours, each scoring 18 shots to 13. These were George Perry, Trevor Bateman, Lawrie Smethurst and Bill Faulkner, and Robbie Williams, Colin Parsons, Colin Ware and Dennis Wise.
Earlier in the week two rinks played Aston Clinton in the Double Fours competition with both rinks having good wins: Michael Richards, Roger Lofty, Dennis Wise and Roger Elliston scoring 32 shots to 8, and Michael Birch, Geoff Denham, Brian Wright and Keith Patrick scoring 31 shots to 8.
In the ladies county triples competition Chesham have 6 teams through to play today, Monday 18 May. Unfortunately all teams are playing each other but that means 3 Chesham teams will be through to the next round
